Wildcats 10-Under Team set to compete in the Asia Pacific Zone Mustang Championship

Wildcats 10-Under Baseball Team

The 2019 Wildcats 10U Team dominated the Greenfield Summer Baseball Classic by posting a come-from-behind victory over highly fancied Team Tanauan, 4 runs to 3 at the top of the final inning for the title.

Down 0-3 after 3 Innings, Wildcats Pitcher, Christian Marantal, scored the lone run in the fourth to close the gap 1-3. It was also Marantal who took over as pitcher in the four and denied Tanauan more runs.

The go-ahead run came from Wildcats’ catcher, Mark Olayvar, who hit it solid, high and deep to left center for his third home run of the tournament and sending right fielder, Gelo Panopio home as well. The other run came from first baseman, Jaden de Venecia.

This select team toppled other teams — Agilas, La Salle GH, Entom of Los Banos, and Pioneers of Batangas on the way to the championship.

The Wildcats leave for the Asia Pacific Zone Mustang Division Championship this coming 28th of May for Vietnam to secure a spot in the World Series anew happening this July in Louisiana, USA.

The team is composed of Axl Fallorina, Coach Kiko Gesmundo, Mark Olayvar, Ethan Galvez, Coach Eric Gesmundo, Ken Orata, Mio Ilagan, Raffy Blaza, Jaden de Venecia, Coach Ching Geroche, Coach Tony Olayvar, Christian Marantal, Santino Malabanan, Gelo Panopio, Quinn Blume, Juancho Gatmaitan, and Jorell Ching
